The dedicated volunteers who staff the Van Diest Medical Center Gift Shop have been busy preparing for one of their most popular events of the year — the Auxiliary’s annual Nut Sale, which begins Monday, October 5.
The volunteers, who generously give their time to keep the Gift Shop running throughout the year, have been hard at work getting ready for the sale, which features a tempting assortment of nuts, chocolates and snack mixes. The treats are perfect for fall snacking, holiday entertaining or gift-giving.
Proceeds from Gift Shop sales and Auxiliary fundraising efforts help support projects and purchases that benefit patients, staff and visitors at Van Diest Medical Center, as well as provide scholarships to area students pursuing careers in healthcare.
The Gift Shop is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The public is invited to stop in, stock up on favorite treats and support the Auxiliary’s efforts.
