Webster City, Iowa –On October 24, World Polio Day, the Webster City Rotary Club in partnership with Van Diest Medical Center will join thousands of Rotary members across Region 36 – Zones 25 & 29 in the World’s Largest Polio Walk, a coordinated effort to raise awareness and support the global fight to end polio.
As part of this initiative, 36,620 Rotarians and 964 Rotaractors across 11 states and 2 countries are expected to participate by organizing and joining walks in their local communities.
The Webster City Rotary Club will host its local walk at Wilson Brewer Park in Webster City on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 beginning at 10 a.m., inviting community members, families, and supporters to take part in this meaningful event.
Rotary has been a leader in the fight to eradicate polio for more than 35 years through its End Polio Now campaign, helping reduce cases worldwide by over 99.9%. Events like the World’s Largest Polio Walk aim to raise awareness and ensure the momentum continues until polio is fully eradicated.
