Another Webster City City Council meeting is set for this Monday evening, September 21st.

Webster City- The next meeting of the Webster City City Council will be this Monday evening at 6:00 in the city council chambers. The council will sign a proclamation for Train Week and safety when it comes to train traffic. The observance will be from September 21st until 28th. A request from SPARK WC to block off Seneca Street between First and Second Streets on October 1st from 5 until 8 p.m. for a Bonfire Street party will be considered. There will be the second reading of an ordinance amending the code of ordinances when it comes to the adoption of Public Improvement Standards. The report on recommendations from the Webster City Hotel Motel Tax Chairman on Round 29 Grant applications will be reviewed.

In other matters at this Monday’s council meeting, they will consider approving contract awards to Grell Roofing,LLC for roof replacement and Vinton Tuckpointing, Incorporated for Exterior East Wall Masonry Repairs to 707 Second Street. The council will consider a resolution authorizing the execution of a Purchase Agreement located in Webster City at 518/520 Second Street. A Fire Protection Services Agreement between the City of Webster City and Cass Township in Hamilton County will be approved by the council. The Webster City City Council will consider a resolution authorizing the Community Development Director to solicit formal Bids for the Demolition, Asbestos Abatement, and Site Restoration of 545 and 547 Second Street and 518/520 Second Street and at 612 Willson Avenue plus other matters.
