Webster City volleyball falls at home to Algona, 3-1

WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx volleyball team returned to action on Thursday Night, as they hosted the Algona Bulldogs in North Central Conference Tradition Division action at Webster City High School. The Lynx entered with a record of 7-5, while Algona entered at 7-8.

It was Algona that came out of the gates swinging, winning the opening set 25-15, before taking the 2nd set by a score of 25-14 to take a 2-0 lead. Webster City would get back into the match with a win in set 3 by a score of 25-19, but Algona would be too much in the 4th set, as the Bulldogs won 25-14 and wrapped a 3-1 road victory.

Webster City stats were not available on Bound as of Friday morning.

Webster City volleyball returns to action on Saturday, when they travel to Forest City to compete in the Forest City Tournament, beginning at 9 AM.
