Stratford- Members of the Stratford City Council will meet again on Monday evening, September 14th at 7:00 in the council chambers on Shakespeare Avenue. There will be an update from the Stratford Community Development Corporation, set the date for Halloween Trick or Treat Night for the youngsters of Stratford, consider approving a request from Team Iowa Snowmobilers for the 2026-27 Winter Season Snowmobile Route in the incorporated limits of Stratford, and a review of the 2026 season at the Stratford Municipal Swimming Pool. The Stratford City Council Monday evening will discuss a nuisance ordinance and drainage committee. The approval from Ubben Tiling of an invoice for $5,753.80 to replace a plugged tile line at the Stratford Fire Station using LOSST designated infrastructure. Stratford City Council will discuss utility rates for Stratford residents and businesses, discuss work on the City Hall front step. The vendor agreement for electricity for the low-income home energy assistance program with Upper Des Moines Opportunity will be review. Approval of a Rethink Your Drink grant application for Delta Dental for a new water fountain at the Stratford Municipal Swimming Pool will be looked at Monday evening’s meeting plus other matters.
