Director Anne Blankenship will lead the reading of this funny, surprising and unconventional story of friendship and self-discovery.
The Roommate centers on Sharon, a recently divorced woman living a quiet life in Iowa who decides to take in a roommate. Enter Robyn, a mysterious woman from the Bronx with a very different past—and a few secrets. As the two women get to know one another, Robyn’s adventurous spirit begins to awaken something in Sharon, leading both women in directions neither expected.
The preview reading is a great opportunity to hear the play, meet the director and learn more about the upcoming production.
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday, Sept. 20 and 21 at 6 p.m. at WCCT.
Performances are scheduled for Nov. 5, 6, 7 and 8.
