Franklin County- The Iowa State Patrol investigated a two-vehicle crash in Franklin County on Monday morning at the intersection of Lark Avenue and 180th Street. Reportedly an eastbound 2016 model Chevrolet Express driven by Nathaniel Hansen of Northwood was on 180th Street when a northbound 2014 model GMC Sierra driven by Kyle Gronewold of Ackley collided broadside at the uncontrolled intersection before coming to rest on the northeast corner. Gronewold and a passenger, Tanner Sibert of Ackley were transported to MercyOne North Iowa Hospital in Mason City for treatment. Hansent was transported to the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton for treatment of his injuries. Assisting the Iowa State Patrol at the accident scene were members of the Franklin County Sheriffs Office, Franklin General EMS and the Latimer and Sheffield Fire Departments.
