Quick meeting for Hamilton County Supervisors Tuesday morning.

Webster City-It didn’t take long for the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors to breeze through their Tuesday morning meeting in the downstairs conference room of the Hamilton County Courthouse in Webster City. The board accepted the Hamilton County Bridge Inspection and Rating Program with Calhoun Burns and Associates for 2027 and 2028. The West Des Moines firm will be responsible for the inspecting of all bridge structures that are 20 feet in length.The bridges must be inspected every 12 to 24 months by the staff from Calhoun Burns. The inspection work will include the check on the age and condition of the structure.

The supervisors accepted credit and exemption applications totaling 106 for the 2026 fiscal year. They include the homestead applications from eligible veterans, seniors over age 65  and those who are disabled. A resignation from Julia Nelson as director of Community Services was accepted by the board. Deer tags will go on sale starting August 17th at the Hamilton County Recorder’s Office  weekdays from 8:00 until 4:30 p.m.
