House fire investigated Thursday afternoon on Bank Street by Webster City Fire Department.

On Thursday, July 30, 2026, at approximately 4:26 p.m., the Webster City Fire Department responded to a possible house fire at 1113 Bank Street.
Upon arrival, Engine 33 (E33) found smoke coming from the eaves, windows, and doors of the residence. A working fire was designated. Fire attack and search teams were deployed to the property. Through the efforts of these teams, the fire was quickly brought under control.
As Webster City Firefighters were assessing the area, they found an adult male in the back of the property who required medical attention. Several animals were found and removed from the structure. After they were removed, a primary search of the premises was all clear.
The investigation of this fire is ongoing. One person was transported to Van Diest Medical Center for injuries, and all fire personnel cleared the scene.
