Clarion- During a meeting this week, the Clarion Goldfield Dows Community School Board approved the plans for a new restroom and concession building at the district athletic complex in Clarion. Board members authorized the continued work with Atura on construction plans and the bidding process. The district will seek one bid that includes additional bleachers and another that allows the bleachers to be added later. The total cost including the construction, furnishings, signage and audio equipment for the project may not exceed $750,000. Completion for the project is expected to be May 1,2027. The Clarion Goldfield Dows board approved a policy and procedures allowing eighth-grade students to participate in high school athletics. In other matters, the Clarion Goldfield Dows secured a 2023 12-passenger van for $45,575, below its $60,000 budget. The date of August 3rd was set for in-person school registration for the 2026-27 school year. Classes will start August 24th at Clarion Goldfield Dows.
