Webster City-The family of Major Jeffrey O’Brien from Waukee was remembered and honored during this year’s Hamilton County Peace Officers Association golf event held Saturday at Briggs Woods Golf Course south of Webster City. O’Brien was killed in the line of duty on March 1st of this year while serving in Kuwait. Roxane O’Brien and her three children were the recipients of this year’s golf outing featuring a number of local and area golfers. The O’Brien family received special mementos from the Association. The Hamilton County Peace Officers Association wishes to thank the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Webster City Police, Iowa State Patrol and the many golfers’ participating in helping the O’Brien family.
