Jewell- A wide range of items will face the Jewell City Council at their next meeting set for Monday evening, July 13th at 7 p.m. in the Jewell City Council chambers. One of the items facing the council members will be an update on recent projects by the Jewell Public Works Department and to review the chlorine regulator quote from Electric Pump. The Jewell to Little Wall Lake Trail project will be discussed with the Hamilton County Conservation Department. There will be possible action on an application for a REAP Grant and a financial commitment from the City of Jewell. The council will consider a resolution for a 28E agreement with the City of Ellsworth for police services. A public hearing is set for 7:15 p.m. this Monday evening for a potential amendment for peddlers and solicitors. There will be the first reading of the new Sidewalk Ordinance for Jewell at the council meeting.
In other matters, the Jewell City Council will discuss a Fireworks Ordinance for the community, a CAT (Community Attraction and Tourism) Grant review and approve the year-end transfers for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year plus other matters.
