Williams- The Iowa State Patrol reported a Minneapolis motorist escaped injury in a car fire Sunday afternoon near Williams. The incident happened at the 147 northbound mile marker of Interstate 35 near Williams. Reportedly a northbound 2013 model Hyundai Sonata operated by Carmen Castellanos Contrera of Minneapolis caught fire as she was driving her car. The Williams Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the flames from the Hyundai. Investigating trooper Dylan Hill reported the car was totaled in Sunday’s car fire near Williams.
