EAGLE GROVE, Ia. — The Eagle Grove Eagles softball team returned to action on Friday evening, as they hosted the North Iowa Bison in Top of Iowa West action at Greenwood Park. Eagle Grove entered at 8-3, while North Iowa entered at 1-8.
Eagle Grove would take little time in taking care of the Bison, putting up 2 runs in the first, with 2 more runs in the 2nd. The Eagles then blew the game open in the 3rd with 4 runs, before adding 2 more runs in the 4th to close out a 10-0, 4-inning victory.
Johanna Flores-Baez picked up the win, pitching 4 innings and allowing no runs on 3 hits and struck out 3. Crystal Flores went 1-for-1 on the day with 3 RBI, while Holly Anderson went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
Eagle Grove softball returns to action on Monday, when they host the Forest City Indians in Top of Iowa West action at Greenwood Park, with first pitch at 6 PM.
