Webster City-Webster City fire trucks were dispatched to Van Diest Supply Company west of Webster City at 6:48 Wednesday evening for a fire call at a building on the complex. Webster City fire chief Chuck Stanfield reported that when the fire trucks arrived there was smoke from the bay door of one of the buildings on the south side of the complex. A fire attack line was put into service with the seat of the fire located inside the building. The fire was extinguished. All Van Diest Supply Company personnel were present and accounted. Seven firefighters were sent to Van Diest Medical Center for observation and treatment for minor injuries sustained during operations. All of the firefighters were released in good condition. Assisting the Webster City Fire Department last Wednesday evening were members of the Van Diest Medical Center EMS, Webster City Police and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department. The Stratford Fire and EMS, Kamrar EMS, Duncombe Fire and Region V Hazmat also assisted in the call Wednesday evening.
