Webster City- St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School of Webster City will have a new principal when the 2026-27 academic year begins this August. Julie Graber was named by the St. Thomas Aquinas school board as the new principal to succeed Theresa Schliesman who is retiring at the end of the school year. Graber will begin her new duties July 1st, 2026. She comes to St. Thomas Aquinas after spending two years as the principal of St. Francis School in Marshalltown. Graber has also been involved with the Central Rivers AEA and with the Glidden Ralston school district.
A farewell reception for Theresa Schliesman will be held this Sunday, June 7th after the 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. Schliesman has been the principal of St. Thomas Aquinas School for the past seven years.
