CLARION, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys baseball team returned to action on Tuesday evening, as they hosted the Algona Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School. CGD entered with a record of 1-2, while Algona entered with a record of 2-3.

Game 1 would fully belong to Algona, as both sides traded runs in the 1st inning, the Bulldogs exploded for 8 runs in the 2nd and 9 more runs in the 3rd to take an 18-1 lead. Algona added 2 more runs in the 4th before retiring the Clarion order in the bottom of the frame for a 20-1, 4-inning victory.
