NEW SHARON, Ia. — The South Hamilton Hawks girls golf team returned to action on Wednesday morning, as they competed in their Class 1A, Region 3 Tournament at Prairie Knolls Country Club in New Sharon. The Hawks were joined by the hosts in North Mahaska, as well as AGWSR, BCLUW, BGM, Central Decatur, Colo-NESCO, HLV, Martensdale-St Marys, Mount Ayr, Panorama and Sigourney.
South Hamilton would tie for 7th with Panorama, as both teams shot a 428 (+140), as the Hawks top placer was sophomore Emma Lammers, who placed 11th and shot a 93 (+21), as senior Abby Richardson placed 31st and shot a 106 (+34). Senior Arynn Luppes placed 33rd and shot a 108 (+36), as junior Grace Larson rounded out scoring in 48th and shot a 121 (+49).
Mount Ayr and BCLUW advanced to next week’s Class 1A State Tournament at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone, which will be played on May 28th and May 29th.
