The Dollar General Store parking lot on Union Street was the location of an accident at around 5:16 Saturday evening with details released today (Monday). Webster City Police reported a 2017 Kia Cadenza car operated by Meesine Somsack of Webster City was driving through the low when the driver turned and did not see a parked 2017 model Nissan Altima car with the owned not known. The driver then rear ended the parked Nissan and then left the scene. Minor damage was done to both the Somsack car and to the parked Nissan.There were no injuries. Investigating officer Ciara Sturm cited Meesine Somsack with Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Violation of an Instruction Permit Limitation.
Webster City Police continue with their investigation into an accident late Sunday morning at First and Funk Streets. No information available as of late Monday morning.
