WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx and Wright County Broncos girls soccer team returned to action on Monday evening, as the two programs faced off in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field. Webster City entered at 3-6, while Wright County entered at 0-7-2.
Webster City would dominate the match from the outset, putting 5 goals in the opening frame to lead the Broncos 5-0 at the halftime break. The Lynx would add another goal in the 2nd half before calling off the dogs to cruise to a 6-0 shutout.
Junior Sandra Fuentes-Cruz led the Lynx with a hat trick on Monday, totaling 3 goals. Senior Jayme Perez finished with a pair of goals, while fellow senior Janey Putney finished with a goal as well.
Webster City girls soccer returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Hampton-Dumont-CAL to take on the Bulldogs in North Central Conference action, with kickoff at 5:30 PM.
