GRAND JUNCTION, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norsemen boys golf team returned to action on Wednesday, as they made the trip west on Highway 30 to compete in the Ram Invitational, hosted by Greene County, at The Hill Golf Course in Grand Junction. The Norsemen were joined by the Rams, as well as AC/GC, Audubon, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Grand View Christian, Ogden, South Central Calhoun and Southeast Valley.
Roland-Story placed 4th in a highly-competitive field, as they shot a 333 as a team (+45). Junior Wyatt Ramus was the Norsemen’s top scorer, placing 14th and shooting an 82 (+10), as junior Ryan Fisher placed 17th with a score of 83 (+11). Senior Hayden Eslick placed 18th by shooting an 84 (+12), as junior Jake Knoll rounded out scoring in 19th by shooting an 84 (+12).
Other scorers for the Norsemen saw Tucker Hawkins shoot an 89 (+17), as Evan Byersdorfer shot a 92 (+20).
Roland-Story boys golf returns to action on Thursday, when they compete in a Heart of Iowa Conference quad meet with South Hamilton, Greene County and Saydel at Woodland Hills Golf Course in Des Moines, beginning at 4 PM.
