Webster City- Two Sport Utility Vehicles were damaged in an accident at midafternoon Friday in Webster City. Local police were summoned to the intersection of First and Union Streets at around 3:30. Reportedly a southbound 2011 model Jeep Liberty SUV driven by Melinda Jo Brandner of Webster City was struck by an eastbound 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV driven by Petronila Renox Marcos also of Webster City. The damage to the Renox Marcos SUV was estimated at $4000 with the damage to the Brandner SUV estimated at $2000 in the Friday afternoon accident. Renox Marcos complained of a minor injury to her right arm from the airbag of the SUV but refused treatment. Brandner escaped injury. The accident was investigated by Webster City Police Sgt. Eric McKinley.
