JEFFERSON, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx girls track and field team returned to action on Monday night, as they competed at the Ram Relays at Linduska Field at Greene County Middle School. The Lynx were joined by the host Rams, as well as AC/GC, Boone, Carroll, East Sac County, Perry and Woodward-Granger.
Webster City placed 5th with 84 points on Monday, as they claimed a meet champion in the shot put, as junior Amanda Lahr won with a throw of 36′ 7.5″. Senior Jakaela Cherry placed 2nd in the shot put and discus, as her top throw in the shot was 35′ 3.25″, while her best discus throw was 109′ 1″. The Lynx placed 2nd in the shuttle hurdle in a time of 1:15.94 with the team of Hartnett-Hansen-Weinschenk-Grossoehme, as the 4×200 also placed 2nd in a time of 1:51.01 with the quartet of Hansen-Wright-Hartnett-Grossoehme.
