Webster City girls track competes in Hannover Relays in Algona

ALGONA, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx girls track and field team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip into Kossuth County to compete in the annual Hannover Relays in Algona. The Lynx were joined by the host Bulldogs, as well as Bishop Garrigan, Clear Lake, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Fort Dodge, Humboldt, Lake Mills and Manson-Northwest Webster.

Webster City would crown one meet champion on Tuesday as junior Izzy Grossoehme, who won the 400m dash in a time of 59.60 seconds. Grossoehme would place 3rd in the 100m dash in a time of 13.44 seconds. Webster City’s 4×200 would place 2nd in a season-best time of 1:56.35 with the team of Wright-Hartnett-Weinschenk-Ruba, as Amanda Lahr placed 4th in the shot put with a throw of 35′ 4.5″.
