A visit from a prospective Republican candidate in the June primary for Governor will be a part of this evening’s Ellsworth city council meeting.

One of the Republican candidates for governor in the June 2nd primary election will be making a presentation at this (Tuesday) evening’s meeting of the Ellsworth City Council. Iowa State Representative Eddie Andrews of the Des Moines area will meet with council members.  Andrews is one of the five candidates running for the Republican nomination for Governor in June. The others are Randy Feenstra, Zach Lahn, Brad Sherman and Adam Steen.

The Ellsworth City Council will have a discussion and possible action on the South Hamilton Baseball team using the Ellsworth ballfield. A public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications,form of contract and estimate of cost for the 200,00 gallon elevated water storage tank project with the confirming of the plans to follow. Updates from the Ellsworth Fire and EMS, Ellsworth Public Library, ECA and Public Works will be presented this evening.  The council will review the MIDAS LMI survey results, setting the hearing on the 2027 Fiscal Year Ellsworth Budget and building permits plus other matters. The Ellsworth City Council will meet this Tuesday evening at 6:00 in the Ellsworth City Council chambers.
