The election of a Hamilton County Supervisor Chairman and Chairman pro-tem will be a part of this Friday’s organizational meeting of the board to be held at 9:00 a.m. in the downstairs conference of the county courthouse. Rick Young has been the chairman for 2025. The board will set the hours for the courthouse and holidays for closing the courthouse this year. There will be numerous appointments to boards and committees for 2026.A bridge replacement contract will be signed by the county engineer. Resolutions for the precinct election officials compensation, authorize the county engineer to execute utility permits and the naming of depositories and other businesses in which county funds may be invested. There will be a look at road closing construction projects for 2026 plus other matters before the board on Friday.
