The problem with a leak at the Stratford Municipal Outdoor Swimming Pool was one of the issues at this week’s meeting of the Stratford City Council. Bolton and Menk put a scope of work together for council members. The city is waiting on the bids to come back from contractors with the deadline for the bids at 11:00 a.m. on October 24th. The scope of the work is an exploratory dig to remove concrete on the pool decking and expose connections, inspect pipe and fittings, video camera pipe to examine internal pipe conditions and identify concealed leaks or blockages then provide findings to the city.
The Stratford City Council welcomed Molly Vaughn as the Deputy City Clerk at last Monday’s meeting. She will be paid at a starting wage of $17.00 per hour for her new position. The council approved the invoice for $855 for the Stratford Municipal Pool Leak repair using LOSST funds. Council members approved a payroll merit increase of fifty cents for its maintenance supervisor. Vision insurance for all full time Stratford employees was approved by the council this week to take effect in 2026.
