The Eagle Grove Eagles softball team returned to action on Tuesday, as they hosted the Southeast Valley Jaguars in non-conference action at Greenwood Park in Eagle Grove. Eagle Grove entered at 6-4, while Southeast Valley entered at 8-5.
Following a scoreless 1st inning, Southeast Valley got on the board in the 2nd to take a 1-0 lead, only to be answered by an Eagle Grove run in the 3rd to tie the game at 1-1. However, Southeast Valley would put up a run in the 4th, followed by 2 runs in the 6th to cap a 4-1 victory.
Lily Locke went 1-for-2 with a single and an RBI, while Addy Jeske went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. Mya Morgan pitched well in the loss, pitching the complete game and allowing 4 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits and striking out 11.
