The Webster City Lynx boys soccer team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Clear Lake Lions in their NCC and season opener at Lynx at Webster City High School.
Webster City would ride on the foot of senior Eddy Fuentes in the first half, as Fuentes tallied 2 goals on the evening as the Lynx led 2-0 at halftime. Connor Peck would add a penalty kick in the 2nd half as Webster City sailed to a 3-0 victory over the Lions.
The Lynx would pick up assists from Israel Torres and Dany Morales in the win, while senior goalkeeper Henry Arriaga came up with 5 saves on the night.
Webster City boys soccer returns to action on Monday when they travel to Garner to take on Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in North Central Conference action at 5:30 PM.
