This Monday,April 7th will be a busy one for the Wright County Board of Supervisors when they meet at 9:00 a.m. in the courthouse basement boardroom in Clarion. A public hearing for the Wright County proposed tax levy for the year ending June 30,2026 will be on the agenda. There will be a time for public comment followed by public comments and discussion by the supervisors. There will be no action taken by the board at Monday’s hearing. The Wright County Supervisors will review and act on the Union Contract for Sheriff Deputies and Jailers, receive the revenue reports from the Wright County Sheriff and Auditor and set the Wright County budget hearing for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The board will consider rescinding the motion of the Communications Director new full-time hire from the March 24,2025 meeting. Angela Wesselink of the Parent Connections will meet with the board to proclaim the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Wright County. Wright County Engineer will meet with the board concerning a contract for a road project, consider the Fiscal Year 2026 Secondary Roads Five Year Program and Fiscal Year 2026 Iowa DOT Secondary Roads Project, discuss and consider alternate seismic testing monitoring and setback distance. There will also be a secondary road update plus other matters.
