Authorities on the lookout for Fort Dodge man wanted in connection with incident on March 28th.

Fort Dodge Police and the Webster County Attorney’s Office continue its search for 41-year-old Dontay Diekman. He remains wanted on multiple charges including attempted murder in an incident on March 28th,2025 at 1433 Fourth Avenue South. The Webster County Crimestoppers announced Thursday they have increased the reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect from $250 to $500. All agencies involved in the investigation are determined to reach a resolution for the victim as well as anyone else that has been affected by this in the Fort Dodge community. Authorities are advising the public against approaching Diekman directly. As police work diligently to bring this investigation to a peaceful conclusion, the police want to remind the public that knowingly assisting someone who is evading arrest can have legal consequences. Diekman is also charged with Going Armed with Intent and Possession of Firearm as a Felon. Diekman is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds. Diekman should be considered armed and dangerous.
