The Webster City Lynx boys golf team returned to action on Wednesday morning, as they made the trip up to Kossuth County to compete in their Class 3A Sectional Tournament at Spring Valley Golf Course in Saint Joseph. The Lynx were joined by Boone, Clear Lake, Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Humboldt, Iowa Falls-Alden, North Polk and Perry.
Webster City would place 3rd as a team with a team score of 307 (+19), as North Polk was first with a 296 (+8) and Humboldt was 2nd with a 304 (+16). Webster City would get a pair of top 5 finishers as junior Cael Nixon shot a 73 (+1) and placed 4th, while Braden Doering shot a 74 (+2) and placed 5th. Braylon Plain would place 9th with a 75 (+3), while Dawson Bertran placed 28th with an 85 (+13) to round out varsity scoring.
The Lynx boys advance to compete in the district tournament at Carroll Country Club, which begins at 10 AM on Monday, May 13th.
