The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf team returned to action on Thursday afternoon, as they made the trip east into Hardin County to take on Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action at Highland Golf Club in Iowa Falls.
CGD would come up short against the Cadets, shooting a 197 (+53) to Iowa Falls-Alden’s 169 (+25). Carson Nesheim would tie for 4th with a 46 (+10), while Landen Kakacek was 6th with a 47 (+11). Tristan Kakacek would shoot a 50 (+14), as Caleb Seaba rounded out the scoring with a 54 (+18). JD Morrical would shoot a 56 (+20) and Colin Kirstein shot a 60 (+24) to round out the varsity lineup.
Iowa Falls-Alden freshman Karsen Kalous was the individual champion with a 39 (+3).
CGD returns to action on Friday, when they travel to the Hampton Country Club to face Hampton-Dumont-CAL and Webster City in North Central Conference action.
