South Hamilton boys golf competes in West Marshall 18-hole tournament

The South Hamilton Hawks golf team returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they made the trip east into Marshall County to compete in the West Marshall 18-Hole Tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course. The Hawks were joined by the host Torjans, as well as Bondurant-Farrar, Boone, Carlisle, Colo-NESCO, East Marshall, Nevada, Oskaloosa, PCM and South Tama County.

South Hamilton would place 11th in the tournament with a team score of 377. Landon Sogard was the top golfer for the Hawks, shooting a 92 (+20). Brody Harris would follow up with a 94 (+22), Michael Carlson would shoot a 95 (+23), while Sam Koehnk and Luke Martensen would each shoot a 96 (+24) to round out the scoring for the Hawks.

Nevada was the team champion with a 317, PCM was second with a 318. South Hamilton boys golf returns to action on Monday, when they host Saydel and St. Edmond at Jewell Golf and Country Club.
