The Iowa State Patrol investigated an accident invovling two motorcycles at 2823 Union Avenue near Lehigh at 9:06 last (Thursday) night. Reportedly a southbound 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Jonathan D. Widen of Lehigh crossed the center line on Union Avenue and into the northbound lane then sideswiped a northbound 2007 model Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Troy L. Schnell of Webster City. Both motorcyclists were injured in the Thursday night crash. Widen was transported by the Dayton EMS ambulance to Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge for treatment of his injuries. Schnell was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines by Life Flight helicopter for treatment of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol and the Webster County Sheriff’s Department. Others assisting in the accident were the Fort DodgeGowrie and Dayton EMS departments, Lehigh fire department abd Trinty Life Flight from Fort Dodge.
