A Webster City motorist was injured in a one vehicle accident at mid morning Saturday south of Webster City on Tunnel Mill Road. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department reported a south bound 2009 model Dodge Avenger driven by Taylor M. Shubin of Webster City struck a utility pole when it came to rest. Shubin told sheriff’s deputies that she was looking in her bag, preparing for her day at work when she looked up and attempted to brake her vehicle until it was too late to stop or slow down her car. Shubin was transported to Van Diest Medical Center for treatment of her injuries from the accident. Investigating deputy Wyatt Opperman estimated the damage to the Shubin car at $10,0000.
