Eagle Grove boys compete in Hackbarth Relays

The Eagle Grove Eagles track team made the trip north into Kossuth County on Monday evening, to compete in the Hackbarth Relays at Algona High School in Algona. The Eagles were joined by the host Bulldogs, as well as Bishop Garrigan, Humboldt and Clear Lake.

Eagle Grove would pick up a pair of event wins, both coming from senior Cayden Schultz, as he started off his night winning the boys high jump by clearing 6′ even. Schultz the picked up a 2nd place finish in 100m dash, running into a strong headwind with a time of 12.05, before bouncing back and winning the 200m dash in a time of 24.14. Landon Mrla also placed 2nd in the long jump with a mark of 19′ 3″.

Eagle Grove would place 4th with 100 points, Algona was the team champion with 212 points. Full results can be found on Bound.
