Deaths to COVID-19 in Iowa surpasses 7,000.

The Iowa Department of Public Health reported Wednesday there are now 7,069 deaths due to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic in March,2020. Hamilton County has recorded 57 of those deaths due to the virus.As for the positivity rate for COVID,Hamilton County is at 13 percent over the past week with 58 positive tests being taken.So far there have been 2,687 positive tests since March of last year.The vaccination rate for all age groups in Hamilton County stands at 57.1 percent. The vaccinating for children ages 5 to 11  years of age began on Wednesday.  There is more COVID information at coronavirus.iowa.gov
