Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball travels to Iowa Falls-Alden

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows will look to follow up their sweep of Tuesday’s triangular with a conference showdown against the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden. Iowa Falls-Alden enters Thursday’s meeting with a 3-8 record.

The Cadets are lead offensively by sophomore Ella Sharar, who holds a team-high 57 kills. Fellow sophomore Aubrey Johnson is second in kills with 36. Junior Shelbie Risley has improved at her setter spot, as she has 112 assists so far this season. Sharar and Johnson are also 1 and 2 on the team in blocks as well.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows continues to follow the lead of junior Lexie Lane, who has a team-high 175 kills on the season. Clarissa Hasty and Summer Traub are 2 and 3 on the team in kills with 72 and 70, respectively. The Cowgirls two-setter system is also taking shape with Karlee Lehman leading the team with 132 assists, while Nikki Kapka has 106 assists.

First serve will come at 7:30 PM from Iowa Falls-Alden High School in Iowa Falls.
