Webster City- Hamilton County Sheriffs Deputy Rod Hicok was nominated and selected to be a recipient of the 2026 M.A.D.D. Hero Award. Hicok has a distinguished 40+ year career that has seen him put his focus on keeping the roads safe. M.A.D.D. stands for “Mothers Against Drunk Driving” and they have been recognizing deputies, officers troopers and prosecutors across the nation on their efforts to get impaired drivers off the road. Hamilton County Sheriff Alex Pruismann said the recognition for Deputy Hicok is well deserved and a long time coming. He has spent a fruitful career taking these drivers off the roadway as well as seeing the unfortunate aftermath the drivers can cause on the roadways.
