Webster City- During their Tuesday morning meeting the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors approved the hiring of Brittany Davis as a full time dispatch jailer for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, accepted the resignation of Vicki Doolittle from the staff of the Hamilton County Auditor’s office. Doolittle has been with the Auditor’s office since 2005. A Change of Employee status for Lisa Matteson was approved in the Hamilton County Auditor’s office. She will be the assistant auditor and election manager. The change of status was approved for Grace Baker as a full-time jailer at the Hamilton County Jail by the Hamilton County Supervisors.
The board also approved the reapportionment of TIF (Tax Increment Funds) for $8386 for Ag Partners and for $46,379.47 for Van Diest Supply Company. Both have been paid off according to Hamilton County Supervisor chairman Rick Young.
In other matters, the Hamilton County Supervisors approved Kim Schaa and Kelsey Crawford to handle the bank authorization for Community Service Payee. Bank authorization to sign checks were approved for three Hamilton County funds to be administered by Kim Schaa, Tara Craven, Amber Turkett and Matt Matteson.
The board approved a resolution for the authorization for deposits in the sheriff’s account up to $25,000,000 due to upcoming sheriff’s sales.
A Class B Retail Liquor License for the Pilot Travel Center near Williams was approved Tuesday morning by the supervisors.
Hamilton County Engineer Ryan Weidemann informed the board that 370th Street east of Ziegler Avenue in far southeastern Hamilton County has reopened to traffic due to work on a box culvert. 310th Street between Parker Avenue and Highway 69 will close in the next week or two for a bridge replacement project. The Hamilton County Supervsisors met with representatives of Globe Life Insurance to introduce county employees to their policies offered for 2027. Sign up and information meetings for the employees will be announced soon
