Webster City-Lovie Pruismann and Zach Lahr were crowned the 2026 Webster City High School Homecoming Queen and King on Thursday night. Both Pruismann and Lahr will reign over the festivities of Homecoming today and on Saturday night. The other contestants for Homecoming queen were Amanda Lahr, Hayden McCoy, Avery Poppen and Tristyn Wright. This year’s contestants for Homecoming king were Grant Arends, Coyce Bertran, Luke Blake and Kaleb Hansen. The Homecoming coronation was a part of last night’s Boom Night festivities at the school. The event featured the cheerleaders, skits and a chance to meet the Fall sports teams in Cross Country, Football and Volleyball.
A celebration of all things Purple and Gold will be the rule this Friday in Webster City. Students will be dismissed in all grades two hours early today to prepare for the Homecoming parade through the streets of Webster City. The floats, bands, Homecoming queen and king contestants, fire trucks, and other entries will leave West Twin Park at 2:30 p.m. The route will be north on Seneca Street, turning west on to Second Street and then south on Des Moines Street ending at the Middle School. The Webster City American Legion will have a drive through chili and cinnamon roll feed from 4:30 until 6 this evening through the 700 south alley of Second Street. The Homecoming football game between the Webster City Lynx and the Sioux City Bishop Heelan Crusaders is set for 7:00 this evening at Lynx Field. The game will be broadcast on KZWC Radio. Homecoming concludes Saturday night with the dance at the High School from 8:00 until 11:00 p.m.
