Fort Dodge- Authorities in Webster County are investigating a shooting Wednesday night at the Lizard Creek Ranch west of Fort Dodge. The Webster County Sheriff’s Department was notified at around 8:30 last night of one person suffering a gunshot wound at 1762 Johnson Avenue. The individual was transported to the Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment. The condition of the individual was not released as of this Thursday morning. Authorities indicate that a suspect may have been on the scene when the initial calls came into the Webster County Sheriff’s office. The names of the individuals involved. have not been released. Assisting in the investigation with the Webster County Sheriff’s office are Fort Dodge Fire and Police Departments and the Iowa State Patrol. The Lizard Creek Ranch is the former Rabiner’s Boys Ranch and Treatment Center.
