Webster City- There is no snow in the forecast this week but the Hamilton County Supervisors at their Tuesday morning meeting will look at a policy when it comes to Standing Corn Snow Fences. Every winter in many farm fields, farmers erect the fences at the end of the harvest season to catch blowing snow, keep nearby roads clear, prevent soil erosion and provide wildlife habitat for the winter season. Hamilton County Engineer Ryan Weidemann will discuss the policy with the supervisors. A proclamation for Recovery Month will be signed by the Hamilton County Supervisors. Every September, Recovery Month is to celebrate recovery from substance use disorder, promote treatment access, and reduce stigma.
Contracts for Idemia Identity and Security for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department will be looked at for approval. An agreement between Hamilton County and with Clifton Larson Allen will be discussed. The Hamilton County Supervisors will hear about a proposal for design services with Calhoun-Burns and Associates. The Iowa DNR will present a 28-E agreement for Private Water Well Permitting. A resolution for bank authorization for the Briggs Woods Conference Center will be presented for approval.
There will be reports and updates by Hamilton County Supervisors Mary Clausen, April Ely and Rick Young and from county department heads. Tuesday’s meeting of the Hamilton County Supervisors will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the downstairs conference room of the county courthouse.
