EAGLE GROVE, Ia. — 2025 was the most successful season for Eagle Grove volleyball in over a decade, as their 4 wins were the most in a season since a 5-27 mark in 2014. The Eagles now turn their focus to a return to the North Central Conference, but a strong nucleus can help guide the Eagles into a larger, deeper league.
Front Row
The Eagles lose most of its production in the front row, losing Kendra Schild, who totaled 109 kills while playing an important role on the front-line defensively, as well as Kameya Hoop. Holly Anderson provides some explosiveness for the front row offensively, leading the Eagles with 111 kills in 2025. Taytum Edwards will see an expanded role at middle hitter, after 26 kills and 34 blocks in 2025. Eagle Grove will also likely be without the services of Mya Morgan for at least part of the season, following an injury that ended her softball season. Other younger players looking to take a big step for Eagle Grove as attackers include Aubreigh Miller and Addison Eittreim.
Back Row
Eagle Grove does bring back quite a bit of experience in the back row, led by senior Holly Anderson defensively, as Anderson was 2nd on the team with 145 digs last season. Setter Ellie Lenning was a tone setter for the Eagles back line, as she led the team in digs (155) and assists (175) in 2025. Addie Pamperin can provide some added aid in the back line after 91 digs in 2025, as well as Salem Willard, who had 46 digs. Johanna Flores-Baez could provide some meaningful sets as a secondary setter as well.
