Webster City City Council to meet this Monday evening, August 3rd at 6:00 p.m.

Webster City- The first meeting for the month of August will be held this Monday evening at 6:00 for the Webster City  City Council in the city council chambers. There will be a public hearing at 6:05 p.m. on a proposal to renew the City-Wide Urban Revitalization Plan for Residential Tax Abatement. The policy is renewed every three years by the council. A resolution to adopt the plan will follow the public hearing. A request to lower the lot prices of 2501 North Terrace Drive to $500 from Brian Ridge of Ridge Development will be considered by council members. The council will set September 8th at 6:05 p.m. for the public hearing on the proposed plans and specification, the form of contract and estimate of cost for the construction of the Mary Ann’s Water Main Extension Project. A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Plane Brothers Crushing,LLC for the 2027 Concrete Crushing Services in Webster City. The purchase of a 2026 Vermeer AX17  Brush Chipper from Vermeer Iowa for the local Electric Utility will be considered for purchase by the council. There will be a resolution approving a task order with DGR Engineering for Professional Engineering Services related to the City’s Municipal Electric System Arc Flash Assessment Update and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement. The acquisition of property generally located at 1111 Third Street in Webster City will be on the agenda plus other matters. This evening’s Webster City City Council meeting will be video streamed live on the City of Webster City and KQWC Radio Facebook pages.
