Three people injured in Thursday afternoon accident east of Vincent.

Vincent- The Iowa State Patrol investigated a two-vehicle crash at midafternoon Thursday just east of Vincent on 140th Street east of Yankee Avenue. Reportedly a west bound 2018 model Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck operated by Craig Bard of Eagle Grove struck the rear side of a westbound 2019 model Jeep Cherokee SUV operated by Heather Nicholls of Goldfield. The pickup operated by Bard ran off the road and then came to rest in the south ditch against a power line while the Nicholls SUV was able to stay on the roadway. Bard was airlifted by Life Flight to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines for treatment of his injuries. Nicholls and a passenger, Patricia Ann Manues of Eagle Grove were both transported to Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center by Fort Dodge EMS for treatment of their injuries in Thursday’s accident. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident. Damage to the power pole was estimated at $500. Investigating trooper Joshua June cited Craig Bard with Operation of a Motor Vehicle with an Expired Driver’s License.
