Williams- The Iowa State Patrol on Tuesday night investigated a two-vehicle crash at the Interstate 35 southbound 147 marker near Williams at approximately 10 p.m. Reportedly a southbound 2015 Toyota Rav4 SUV with the driver from Ames was struck in the rear driver’s side by a southbound Chevrolet Trax car driven by a motorist from Richfield. Minnesota. The names of the two drivers were not released in the accident report from the Iowa State Patrol. The Toyota Rav4 came to rest halfway on the outside shoulder of the road. The driver of the Chevrolet Trax crossed the onramp to I-35 where it entered the west ditch and rolled multiple times, coming to a rest on its top in a farm field. The driver of the Trax was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines by the Van Diest Medical Center EMS crew for treatment.
