Gilmore City- Humboldt County authorities Wednesday morning apprehended a 41-year-old Gilmore City man on an arrest warrant after a chase Tuesday night in portions of Humboldt and Pocahontas Counties. Clayton Christian Nielsen of Gilmore City was charged with 3 counts of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations While Using or Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, a Class C Felony, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony, Interference with Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor, Eluding which is a serious misdemeanor and Reckless Driving, which is a simple misdemeanor. The total bond for Nielsen for all the charges was set at $30,000 cash only. Officials with Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office will also be filing additional charges at a later date in reference to the incident for the crimes that occurred in their county.
