Woolstock man facing numerous charges after arrest in Fort Dodge on Wednesday.

Webster City- On Wednesday afternoon, May 27th, an off-duty Webster City Police officer observed a wanted subject at the Days Inn in Fort Dodge. 42-year-old Jeffrey Scott Johnson of Woolstock was taken into custody by local law enforcement agencies on Wednesday on active arrest warrants out of Hamilton County. Johnson was charged with a pretrial violation and two counts of probation violations. Assisting Webster City Police in Johnson’s apprehension were members of the Fort Dodge Police, Fire and Rescue Departments, Webster County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. Webster City Police Chief Steve Hansen reported that as part of an ongoing investigation involving four separate incidents occurring between March 2nd and April 12th of this year, Johnson has additionally been charged with the following criminal offenses. The charges include Kidnapping First Degree for Serious Injury and for Intentionally Subject to Torture or Sexual Abuse. Both are Class A Felonies, three counts of Assault Committed by a Person Against Whom a Protective Order is Issued, a Class D Felony. Two counts of Domestic Abuse Assault Third Degree, a Class D Felony, Sexual Abuse First Degree and Sexual Abuse Third Degree, both are Class A and C Felonies respectively, Stalking-Violation of Protective Order, a Class C Felony, Three counts of Violation of a No Contact Order which is a Simple Misdemeanor and Third Degree Theft which is an Aggravated Misdemeanor.  Johnson is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail in Webster City.  Assisting Webster City Police in the investigation include the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Hamilton County Attorney’s Office and the Iowa Attorney General’s Office. Johnson has an appearance in Hamilton County Magistrate Court on Tuesday, June 2nd at 10:45 a.m.
